MADISON—Wisconsinites want to know if they will either have or can find a job in 2010. Wisconsin businesses want to know if they will have customers and can get a loan in the New Year. Both questions will be the topic of the 2010 Wisconsin Economic Forecast Luncheon, to be held January 14 at the Monona Terrace & Convention Center, Madison.
A sold out crowd of business, community and political leaders will hear local, regional and national perspectives on what 2010 holds for the Badger State’s economy from Samuel Kahan, Ph.D., Senior Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Michael Knetter, Ph.D., Dean of the Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The WBA Business Credit Availability Forum, a morning bonus session for attendees, will feature a background briefing on Wisconsin lending trends by University of Wisconsin-Madison Professor Jim Johannes, director of the Puelicher Center and senior associate dean of the School of Business. A panel discussion will follow and will include Scott S. Hickey, Chief Credit Officer, Associated Bank, Milwaukee; Robert Just, President/CEO, Mound City Bank, Platteville; Bill Smith, State President, National Federation of Independent Business; and Rep. Peter Barca (D-Kenosha).
The Wisconsin Economic Forecast Luncheon is an annual event presented this year by the Wisconsin Bankers Association in conjunction with the Wisconsin Realtors Association and the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce.
