EAU CLAIRE – Applied Data Consultants, Inc., an Eau Claire-based provider of geographic information systems, web, and information technology solutions, has received $101,000 from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Governor Doyle announced on Wednesday.

The funding – provided through the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Tax Credit Program – will be used to develop and market a new product line, and ultimately create 17 new jobs.

“I applaud Governor Doyle and the Department of Commerce for effectively using state tax credit programs to help bring new, high-tech jobs to Wisconsin,” said Thad Nation, Executive Director of Wired Wisconsin. “By pursuing policies that promote growth in high-tech industries across the state, we have a great opportunity to continue to create jobs like these and put our state on the cutting edge on technology innovation.”
