Where is Santa? in it’s Second Annual Review, brings cheer and hope to the East Madison Community Center
Local Madison kids ranging in age from 12 to 24 have come together for a second year in a musical by local Madisonian, Joshua Hayes, in efforts to raise holiday spirits, donations for Toys for Tots, and food donations to the Eastside Madison Community Center. The Christmas musical takes you on a wonderful journey with Mrs. Claus, ElfVis, Hannah Montana, and the elves from the North Pole on search for Santa, in efforts to find him before the presents need to be delivered on Christmas Eve. This year the show will run for three days, with shows on Friday December 10th at 7pm, Saturday December 11th at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday December 12th at 2pm; all at the Madison East Community Center. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under, with a request for a donation to Toys for Tots or food donation at the door.
The perfomers in this holiday musical come from the east community and surrounding areas. Their talents not only lie in singing and dancing, but in their giving spirit as well. Joshua Hayes, the writer and director, grew up performing in Madison, starring in the Madison East Show Choir as a teenager, performed with the Madison Ballet, a star with Broadway in the Dells, and most recently performing with The Show Palace in Hudson Fl. The stars of this musical come from all areas of performing: the starving college student to the child with dreams of becoming a star.
We are looking to increase attendance and donations this year. The first production of Where is Santa? in 2009, brought with it great success in food and toy donations, and this year we are hoping to double the efforts. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or can be pre-ordered with Joshua by calling 608/443-9652. We have seats still available for all performance. So come out and enjoy a little holiday spirit, while supporting local performers, and the Eastside community
