Announces $2,000 Donation to Support Troops for Every Home Purchased Between Now and the Fourth of July

Rothschild, WI (April, 2010) – The hammering has stopped and the dust has settled. It’s time for local Wausau Homes builders across the Midwest to celebrate their Grand Re-Opening with an open house on April 10 to offer a look at the future of home-building. As part of the celebration, for every home purchased between April 1-July 4, Wausau Homes will donate $2,000 to Operation Homefront to support the families of America’s troops.

Visitors to any local builder’s open house will be able to tour their new, state-of-the art Design Center that showcases everything from cabinets and countertops to siding and shingles while providing the latest technology to help homebuyers plan and customize their new homes. Among the highlights is an amazing 3D viewer that allows homebuyers to see their home plans take shape before their eyes so they will know exactly what their new home will look like before it’s ever built.

“We’re prepared for the improving economy,” says Jay Schuette, co-president of Wausau Homes, along with his brother, Tom Schuette. “These local Wausau Homes builders will be able to offer a stress-free building experience different than anything out there today.”

The new building experience includes a firm price up front and a firm move-in date, removing the angst from what can be the two most stressful aspects of building a home. “We’ve redefined the building experience and we’re inviting everyone to come in and take a look, whether they are thinking of building a home this spring or planning for the future,” he adds.

Anyone who decides to purchase a new home between April and July 4 will also generate a $2,000 donation to Operation Homefront (operationhomefront.net), the national, non-profit support organization for the families of American troops who are deployed around the world. Operation Homefront provides a safety net of services ranging from the little things that keep a family functioning, such as repairing the family car or a broken faucet, to providing counseling and emotional support to families of wounded warriors. As one of its community giving campaigns, Wausau Homes chose to support Operation Homefront as a meaningful way to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening events of its local builders and its 50th anniversary.

Visitors to any of the Grand Re-Opening Open Houses will enjoy a variety of activities, including refreshments and prize drawings. At the same time, they will be able to see and touch a wide variety of sample products available to customize a new home. They can also learn about the stress-free homebuilding experience that begins with choosing from more than 100 home designs, then customizing their choice using the latest 3D design software which lets them “walk” through every room. The homebuyer knows exactly what their new home will look like, inside and out, right down to how their furniture will fit in each room.
