Germantown, Wisconsin— TecStar Mfg. Company, a business unit of the MGS Mfg. Group, was awarded the 2009 Mechanical Supplier of the Year award by Rockwell Automation.
TecStar received the prominent award based on multiple factors, including the ability to offer a comprehensive list of services such as mold making, multishot (multiple material) injection molding, blow molding, and secondary operations, as well as fitting Rockwell’s localization business model by having a production facility located in Chihuahua, Mexico.
“TecStar’s technical capabilties and global footprint provide Rockwell Automation with a strategic partner who offers a competitive supply chain advantage”, says Matthew Sprader, Strategic Sourcing Commodity Manager for Rockwell.
Other accomplishments include TecStar’s 94% on-time delivery rate and the ability to handle very challenging technical transfer programs.
Tim Kusek, Director of Strategic Sourcing for Rockwell Automation announced the award winner to employees during a company meeting held on February 2, 2010. TecStar was presented with the honor the following day.
