GEORGE KERWIN TO SPEAK ON HEALTH CARE AT ST. NORBERT COLLEGE CEO BREAKFAST

DE PERE: George Kerwin, president and CEO of Bellin Health, will present “Balancing Health, Healthcare and Cost of Care for a Population” as part of the CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series, on Wednesday, March 3, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at F.K. Bemis International Center on the St. Norbert campus.

Kerwin has served as president and chief executive officer of Bellin Health since 1992. Previously, he served as senior vice president/chief operating officer for six years. Kerwin is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a board member of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Hospital Association. He has served as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

This is the 13th year that St. Norbert College has hosted the CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series for area business professionals. The series is sponsored by Grant Thornton LLP and Insight Publications.

MARK MURPHY AND BETSY MITCHELL TO SPEAK ON CHAMPIONSHIP PLANNING FOR THE PACKERS

DE PERE: The Green Bay Packers’ Mark Murphy, president and CEO, and Betsy Mitchell, vice president of organizational/staff development, will present “Championship Planning for the Packers” on Wednesday, March 10, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Riverview Country Club in Appleton, Wis. The presentation is part of St. Norbert College’s CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series.

This is the 13th year that St. Norbert College has hosted the CEO breakfast series. Murphy and Mitchell’s presentation is sponsored by Performa Inc. Grant Thornton LLP and Insight Publications are sponsors of the entire series.

Murphy is in his second year as the Packers’ president and CEO. Murphy holds both a law degree and an MBA in finance, and spent eight years playing for the NFL’s Washington Redskins. He later served as athletic director of both Colgate University and Northwestern University, was Executive director of the NFL Players Association, and served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice

Betsy Mitchell has spent 17 years with the Packers organization, and was appointed to her current position by Murphy in 2008. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is responsible for employee relations, leadership development, community outreach and human resources for the Packers. Mitchell serves on the boards of numerous community organizations.

DAVID VANDER ZANDEN TO SPEAK ON EDUCATION ISSUES

DE PERE: David Vander Zanden, president and CEO of School Specialty Inc., will present “Growth Strategy for Accelerated Learning” on Tuesday, March 23, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Riverview Country Club in Appleton, Wis, as part of St. Norbert College’s CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series.

Appleton-based School Specialty designs, develops and provides pre K-12 educators with the latest curriculum materials, supplemental learning resources, and school supplies.

Vander Zanden was School Specialty’s president and chief operation officer from 1998 until 2002, when he was named CEO. Previously, he was president of Ariens Corp. in Brillion. He serves on numerous corporate and non-profit boards.
