MADISON, Wis. (June 24, 2010) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady, LLP is pleased to announce that Valerie Bailey-Rihn, a partner in the Firm’s Madison office, has been elected to serve as president-elect of the Dane County Bar Association (DCBA). She will serve as president-elect from May 2010 through May 2011, becoming president in June 2011.

Ms. Bailey-Rihn is an attorney in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. She concentrates her practice in the areas of business, real estate, ERISA litigation and creditor representation/lender defense. Ms. Bailey-Rihn has significant experience in these areas, including shareholder/partner disputes in front of trial and appellate courts, real estate workouts and disputes, and bankruptcy and receivership matters. She has successfully represented clients in several published federal and state appellate decisions. Ms. Bailey-Rihn is a certified public accountant, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, since 2007, in the areas of bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law. She earned both her law degree and Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin. Ms. Bailey-Rihn has served as secretary of the DCBA since 2007.

The Dane County Bar Association currently consists of approximately 1,400 attorneys and judges in Dane County. It shares the honor, along with the Milwaukee Bar Association, of being the oldest bar association in Wisconsin.
