Fabulous finds might describe the inventory at The Mixx Design Centre, but there are real stories behind the many objects and antiques at Indiana Avenue in Sheboygan.

Recently, Director of Design Keith Bowden from The Mixx Design Centre assisted curators at the PGA historical exhibit by staging personal items belonging to the first winner of the PGA championship, golf legend Jim Barnes in an antique showcase found at The Mixx. The exhibit, which is part of the promotions for the upcoming PGA Tour event at Whistling Straights is located in The Shoppes at Woodlake and is open to the public from May 12th – August 22nd. Says Kelly Elbin, Director of Communications and Publications for PGA, “…they took a rough concept and, through determination and ingenuity, created a magnificent display that celebrates one of the great figures in golf history.” The historical display features other treasures including golf clubs and personal articles collected from all ninety-one PGA championship winners.

The Mixx is a collection of masterworks and make believe. Everything from carousel horses to couches crowd the 6000 square foot showroom. Currently one of the more unique items on display is a pair of gold Egyptian thrones from 20th Century Fox Studios dated 1954.

VandM, an exclusive national online marketplace for antiques and unusual furnishings has added The Mixx to its roster. The virtual showroom places The Mixx collection in front a broad audience, expanding their reach as a resource for designers and for the savvy consumers to find the ultimate conversation piece.
