Neenah, Wis. – Miron Construction Co., Inc. was recently chosen by Deloitte to receive the Community Distinguished Performer Award as part of the 2010 Wisconsin 75 award program.

The Wisconsin 75 Distinguished Performer Awards were established in 2003 to recognize a local company or organization which has implemented an innovative, creative program or initiative that effectively expands the organization. The Community award recognizes a company’s efforts or business choices that focus on giving back to the community.

Miron was specifically chosen for their numerous community-minded endeavors in the many locations where they operate their business. Each year, Miron averages two charitable projects, and contributes over $750,000 to community projects and organizations. In addition, a large portion of Miron employees donate their time and efforts to ensure the success of these events, which include Quarry Quest, the Fox Cities Marathon and Big Brothers Big Sisters Holiday Parties, among others. Miron is also involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Junior Achievement, Rotary, Salvation Army, the YMCA, the Community Blood Center and many other non-profit organizations. On numerous occasions, Miron has donated its project management services, labor and materials either at cost or no-charge.

Miron Construction is proud to play an active role in its communities by contributing to projects that make them wonderful places in which to live, work and play. Miron’s ownership also encourages all of their employees to get involved in their communities, assist their neighbors in need, and better the world in which they live.

Representatives from Miron Construction will be presented with the award at the Wisconsin75 breakfast, which will be held on September 28, 2010, at Pier Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
