Building Excitement For 65 Years!

WAUKESHA, WI (August 9, 2010) – In addition to an exciting mix of 22 must-see homes built by 18 of Southeastern Wisconsin’s most experienced home builders, the Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA) announces the promotions and special event schedule for the 65th anniversary 2010 MBA Parade of Homes.

The Parade of Homes starts Saturday, August 21st and ends Sunday, September 12th. It is open to the public and the purchase of one Parade ticket will allow entry into all of the homes dispersed across three convenient Southeastern Wisconsin locations – Pewaukee (Broken Hill subdivision), Oak Creek (The Bluffs of Oak Creek subdivision) and Richfield (Reflections Village subdivision).

“Special events at this year’s milestone Parade of Homes will be educational, entertaining and engage the Southeastern Wisconsin community,” said Rick Hodges, MBA Executive Director. “And through some popular discount promotions, we’ve made it more affordable by designating certain days when tickets can be purchased at the gate for a reduced rate.”

Discount promotions include “Back To School Day” on August 22nd when people who donate school supplies will receive a $2 ticket discount at the gate, a “Salute to Military and Veterans Day” on Saturday, September 11th when military and veterans of all ages will receive half price admission with military ID or VA ID and “Community Food Drive Day” on Sunday, September 12th when people who donate two non-perishable food items will receive a $2 ticket discount at the gate. Discount priced tickets are also available now at over 40 advance ticket seller locations listed on the MBA Web site (MBAonline.org).

“The Parade is a fun, social event that we want to make economically feasible for everyone to enjoy,” said Hodges. “Whether you’re a grandparent, grandchild or someone in between, there’s a special event you’ll like at this year’s Parade.”
