December 21, 2010 (De Forest, Wis.) – Today, JX Peterbilt – Madison donated $550 to the De Forest Area Needs Network. This contribution was made through a combination of a corporate donation and local fund raising.

JX Peterbilt – Madison associates have been going “casual for a cause”, raising donations for local food pantries since November 5, 2010. Each Friday, associates can participate by making a contribution to a local pantry, in turn earning the ability to wear jeans for the day.

These donations have been combined with a corporate contribution in efforts to support those in need throughout the De Forest area. JX Peterbilt is making similar donation at 13 food pantries near JX Peterbilt locations throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. In total, over $7,100 was donated this year to assist in feeding those in need.

“With the current economic state, many families in our local communities are finding it difficult to meet their daily needs. We’re glad to provide continued support to our local food pantries, knowing that many families are depending on the gifts of local companies and individuals to help.” Said Eric Jorgensen, President & CEO of JX Enterprises.

JX Peterbilt associates have been actively participating in “casual for a cause” since spring of 2008. Since 2008 over $25,000 has been contributed to local charities.
