Rally Taking Place in Janesville
(JANESVILLE, Wis.)—State legislators and area business leaders are calling for an expansion of Interstate 39/90 between Beloit and Madison to six lanes in order to create jobs, ensure safety and build stronger communities for all of Wisconsin. A rally has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 12 at the Holiday Inn Express and Janesville Conference Center in Janesville.
Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan and Forward Janesville’s I-39/90 NOW Coalition leaders will discuss the funding, timeline and benefits of this proposal. More information on this project can be found at http://www.congestioncorridor.com.
“Let’s transform this ‘congestion corridor’ to a ‘commerce corridor’,” Dan Cunningham, Forward Janesville’s vice president of government relations and education, said. “This project is one of the best economic development tools the state could provide south-central Wisconsin as we seek to rebuild our economy.”
