Menomonee Falls, WI (May 05, 2010) – Huot Instruments, LLC of Menomonee Falls is preparing to launch a new addition to their recently developed StarTrol line of LED medical lighting. The Startrol 9×3 Minor Surgery Light will join the Startrol 4×3 Examination Light as another energy efficient alternative to traditional halogen medical lighting. The new light rounds out Huot’s lighting division, and puts the company in position to compete with larger national brands also distributing LED technology to the medical field.

Engineers at Huot Instruments, a company known primarily for manufacturing surgical instruments, noticed a need for an energy efficient and comfortable lighting solution for medical environments. Recent advances in LED technology have made possible the development of cool, safe lights which use less than one-third the energy of traditional halogen light sources.

Huot Instruments was one of the first companies to recognize the potential benefits of such lighting in a medical setting, and soon unveiled the Startrol 4×3 Medical Examination light. Since that time other companies have developed similar green medical lighting systems, but Startrol lights continue to capture the attention and praise of medical professionals in all fields. With the introduction of the StarTrol 9×3 Minor Surgery Light, Huot is poised to become a major contender in the emerging green medical lighting industry.

When asked about Huot Instruments’ contribution to environmentally responsible medicine, managing partner Rich Ward said; “StarTrol lights are the most advanced medical light on the market, giving superior light using only a fraction of the energy of conventional lights. As an added benefit, the lights are essentially maintenance free resulting in products which nearly pay for themselves.”
