MILWAUKEE, WI – Historic Milwaukee Inc. (HMI) is in need of 100 additional guides for its 29th Annual Spaces & Traces Event on May 15th. We are appealing to you to help spread the word about our need for volunteers.

On May 15th they would work one of three volunteer shifts, 8:30- 11:30, 11:30-2:30 or 2:30 – 5:30. All volunteers receive our discounted ticket price of $10 (normally between $20-$30).

Volunteers are asked to attend our volunteer orientation event on April 24th at 9:00 am at Manpower Headquarters to learn about the buildings on the tour, meet with their building captain and be assigned their volunteer role, attendance to that meeting is encouraged but not mandatory.

On May 11th volunteers will be invited to our event reception at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation Offices in Schlitz Park where we will give our Preservation Award for 2010 and present our building research to the homeowners or building representatives.

2010 Spaces & Traces will run from 9am to 5pm. Discounted tickets can be bought in advance at the HMI Office at our website http://www.historicmilwaukee.org. Regular price tickets available at Winkie’s Variety Store and Milwaukee Area Boston Stores and Trostel Square Offices at 1818 N. Commerce St. $25/Non-members.
