MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced $334,000 in tax credits for Thilmany, LLC to upgrade its manufacturing processes at its Kaukauna and De Pere facilities. The funding comes from the Jobs Tax Credit program at the Department of Commerce (Commerce).

“My top priority has been to help companies and communities move forward and create good-paying jobs for Wisconsin families,” Governor Doyle said. “We are moving Wisconsin forward in difficult national economic times by investing in our businesses, such as Thilmany, LLC, and making them more efficient and competitive.”

Thilmany, LLC, a business unit of Packaging Dynamics Corporation, manufactures specialty lightweight paper for packaging and technical and industrial applications. It operates paper mills in Kaukauna and De Pere, and will upgrade its manufacturing capabilities and improve operating efficiencies at both of the facilities. As a result of the upgrade, the company will train 353 employees in 11 courses. Thilmany, LLC is investing $15.4 million in this project and is creating 23 positions.
