Partnership with Clothes4Souls is the next step in assisting leading national charities
ST. PAUL, Minn., September 29, 2010 — Gander Mountain, a national retailer for outdoor clothing and gear, announce their next step in a partnership program to help national charities provide assistance to people in need of footwear, clothing and other items important to daily life.
On October 1, Gander Mountain will begin the second part of its charitable partnership initiative by partnering with Clothes4Souls to collect gently used coats and send them to people in need around the world. Clothes4Souls is a division of Sole4Souls which has distributed more than eleven million pairs of shoes since 2004 and recently has begun to collect clothes for those in need. Clothes4Souls collects new clothing from manufacturers, designers, retail partners and the general public. In addition, gently worn jeans and coats are accepted during community events held at select retailers throughout the year.
With its “We Live Outdoors” culture, Gander Mountain understands how important proper outdoor clothing is for daily use. Beginning October 1 and continuing through the month, Gander Mountain will offer $20 off a customer’s next purchase of any combined regular priced outerwear/rainwear purchase of $100 or more with the donation of any gently used coat, or a monetary donation of at least $5 to Clothes4Souls. It is not necessary to make a purchase to donate clothing or make a financial contribution to Clothes4Soles to assist in shipping of donations.

In addition to the partnerships with Clothes4Souls and Soles4Souls, Gander Mountain will be working with other national charitable organizations throughout the rest of the year and beyond to continue giving back to the community. Future programs planned will emphasize providing hope to those less fortunate during the holiday season.
