The success of Wisconsin’s Express Employment Professionals owners inspires company to open five new offices in Milwaukee metro

(Milwaukee, Wisc.)—As more businesses and job seekers in Milwaukee metro continue to rely on the services of staffing firms, the demand for new offices grows for Express Employment Professionals, one of the world’s largest staffing companies.

High unemployment rates and the growing list of small- to medium-sized businesses that benefit from staffing firms have sent Oklahoma City-based Express Employment Professionals on an aggressive expansion campaign in Wisconsin. There are currently six offices throughout the state and the company plans to open five additional over the next few years, with the first location slated to open by the end of 2010. The company is targeting the following markets for growth: Milwaukee (West), Brookfield-New Berlin, Glendale-Downtown Milwaukee, Greenfield and Waukesha-Delafield.

Express Employment Professionals has employed more than 14,000 Wisconsinites through temporary help, flexible staffing, evaluation and direct hire since the recession hit. Executive recruiting, professional placement, customized consulting and training/development services are also available to Express clients. According to a recent hiring trends survey conducted by the Specialized Recruiting Group (a business line of Express Employment Professionals), hiring increases are expected for the third quarter of 2010. The survey found that 34 percent of respondents plan to hire full-time light industrial positions, while 28 percent plan to hire for administrative and office clerical positions. The latter part of the year also looks bright for accounting, IT, engineering and marketing positions.

Historically, employer spending on contingent labor spikes following recessions puts Express in the perfect position for continued growth. The company announced sales over the last 10 weeks are up an average of 59 percent compared to the same 10-week period in 2009. Overall sales are up 40 percent to date.

Express Employment Professionals’ clients range from small and medium-size businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Clients’ needs range from light industrial and office staffing to executive recruitment and professional staffing.

“The people we see coming in to be part of our company are really looking for a way to control their own destiny,” said Fred Muse, senior director of franchising for Express Employment Professionals. “You are able to be proactive and make it happen in our business much more than in retail. In our business, we go out and create the opportunity through education of our business.”
