Erin HIlls Golf Course: The wait is over

Erin Hills was awarded the 2017 U.S. Open Championship today by the United States Golf Association. The announcement was made this morning at Pebble Beach, site of the 2010 U.S. Open. The State of Wisconsin and all those associated with Erin Hills are honored to have been selected as host for the first ever U.S. Open to be contested in this great golfing state.

Erin Hills to Host 111th U.S. Amateur Championship

For the first time in the history of the U.S. Amateur, the championship will be contested in the State of Wisconsin. Championship dates at Erin Hills will be August 22 – 28, 2011. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the 2011 U.S. Amateur, please send notice to: info@erinhills.com.

Course Opens July 31st

The renovations completed this spring by Landscapes Unlimited and Golf Course Superintendent Zach Reineking have made the golf course ready for play, beginning July 31st, 2010. The Hurdzan, Fry, Whitten design will offer golfers of every level an exciting and challenging day on the links. Renovations include

* The practice area is now a world-class 20 acre facility with multiple bent grass tees, fescue tees, various target greens, and a complete short game area with every shot imaginable.

* An expanded outdoor patio overlooking the golf course complete with gas firepits and full service food and beverage options.

* Recontoured fairways , improved turfgrass conditions, and the removal of 300 trees have vastly increased the aesthetic beauty of the course and improved the playability for everyone who visits.
