MADISON, WI (March 1, 2010) — DeWitt Ross & Stevens is pleased to announce the addition of S. Mike Murphy to the Litigation and Bankruptcy groups. Murphy joins the firm as an associate in our Madison, Wisconsin office.

Murphy’s practice is focused primarily on bankruptcy law including business reorganizations under Chapter 11, individual and corporate liquidations under Chapter 7, and individual debt restructurings under Chapter 13. On the creditor side, Murphy has experience representing secured lenders and trade claimants in bankruptcy proceedings.

Murphy received a B.S. in Business Administration from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law, where he was the articles editor of the Alaska Law Review. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Illinois. Murphy was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
