MADISON Wisconsin businesses have multiple resources at their disposal in their efforts to expand international business. Each May, the directors of Wisconsin’s international trade offices visit the state to brief Wisconsin firms on changing conditions in key markets around the world. The directors will be participating in a breakfast meeting on May 14 from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, 201 West Washington Ave., Madison. The breakfast is free for MITA member and $10 for non-members.

Sponsored by the Madison International Trade Association (MITA) the meeting will include updates on market conditions and opportunities around the world, discussion of business practices and potential, available resources and networking with other local companies to share export experiences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak individually with an International Director from Brazil, Canada, China or Mexico following the breakfast by making an appointment in advance.

“With all the changes taking place in markets around the world,” said Wisconsin Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Aaron Olver, “it is important to get a clear picture of the opportunities available to Wisconsin exporters, as well as the different strategies that can lead to success.”
