The Wisconsin Dells Cub Scout Pack 66 started off an exciting evening of racing by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour joined the Late Models, Pure Stocks, and Bandits.
Rich Schumann Jr took the top qualifying spot in the Late Model division with a 14.297. The invert would be kind to Mike Lichtfeld as he would lead the field to green for the feature event ahead of James Swan and Mike Ehde. Lichtfeld took the lead and reminded his fellow competitors and fans that he was last years champion in the Super Stock division. Mike Ehde quickly moved into second place and despite two yellow flags that brought the field together could not manage to get past Lichtfeld. Mike Lichtfeld visited Victory Lane for the first time in the Late Model division. Dan Lensing won the Fast Dash, and Derek Childs and Rocky “the flying squirrel” Breezer won their heat races.
In the Pure Stock Division Dave Trute set fast time with a 15.810. Starting mid-pack during the feature, Trute moved steadily through the field to second behind Adam Johnson. Johnson worked hard to keep Trute from gaining the lead but with just 9 laps to go Trute moved in and claimed the checkered flag. Heat race winners were Doug Paul and Brad Luck.
With 26 Bandits qualifying, competition was fierce. James Junget set fast time with a 17.493. Fighting to get into the Feature, Andy Portzen, Todd Kolpien, Denny Schott, and Trent Uselman received the four transfer positions in the semi-feature. During the feature event, Brandon Junget started deep in the field but made his way quickly through the traffic. With 10 laps to go Brandon took the lead and picked up his second feature win. Kory Childs, Jeremy Simmons, and Andy Portzen won their heat races.
