Keith Rode Named Partner-in-Charge of Racine Office

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (May 11, 2010) – Clifton Gunderson, ranked as one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting and consulting firms, today announced it has named Mark Williams managing partner of its Wisconsin practice. In his new role, Williams will be responsible for leading the continued growth and efficiency improvement of the Wisconsin practice. Williams will assume his new role effective June 1, 2010 and succeeds Ted Hart who is retiring effective December 31, 2010.

Williams joined Clifton Gunderson in 2004. He most recently served as partner-in-charge of Clifton Gunderson’s Milwaukee and Madison offices where he was responsible for overall operations and coordination of client services with other Wisconsin locations and offices of the firm. Prior to this role, Williams served as national managing partner of Clifton Gunderson growth strategies assisting the firm in building its marketing and business development services. In this role, Williams worked closely with the senior management team in the development of Clifton Gunderson’s strategic growth initiatives.

Williams has more than 35 years experience in the accounting profession, serving his first 30 years of his career with a Big Four firm in various leadership positions. He has extensive experience assisting entrepreneurs in building their emerging companies in a variety of industries including technology, manufacturing and wholesale distribution.

Williams graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The firm also today announced Keith Rode as partner-in-charge of its Racine office. Rode will be responsible for the overall operations and growth of the Racine office. He will also coordinate client services with other Clifton Gunderson offices across the state and firm. Rode succeeds Mark Wyzgowski who was named managing partner of the firm’s Iowa practice. Rode will assume his new role effective June 1, 2010.

Rode has more than 19 years of progressive experience in tax. He currently serves as tax services leader of Clifton Gunderson’s Wisconsin practice. He joined the firm in January 2003. He specializes in providing tax compliance and consulting strategies on a variety of complex issues, including mergers and acquisitions, multi-state taxes, and business succession planning. His experience includes federal, state and international taxation for publicly and privately-held companies in a variety of industries as well as individual taxation. Prior to joining Clifton Gunderson, Rode served as a tax managing director with a Big Four firm in Los Angeles, California.

Rode holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration – accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and speaks regularly at various tax seminars. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and their corporate tax division.
