Green Bay, Wisconsin – Bay Area Humane Society is hosting a Cat Adoption Special – from now until 10/10/10 all cat and kitten adoption fees are just $10.10. Experience purrs and unconditional love, and feel proud knowing you made a difference in the life of a great pet.
The top ten reasons to adopt a cat from Bay Area Humane Society:
10. You save a life.
9. With most family members gone during the work week for 8 hours or more, house training is certainly an important consideration – all of our shelter cats are already litterbox trained!
8. When you adopt an adult cat from the shelter, you already have a sense of his personality, and he is passed that “climbing the curtains” kitten stage!
7. Adoption staff work with you to make that perfect match. They will try and make sure that you are choosing the pet that will make both family and cat happy.
6. Cuddly companion, even if you are “under the weather”! Flu season is around the corner … cats are the perfect company when you are spending the day in bed!
5. You will be an example to others, and they may become inspired to visit a shelter.
4. There are kittens at the shelter as well as “senior” cats. Whatever age you are looking for, you can find him or her at the shelter.
3. Purebreds can be found at the shelter. Experts say approximately 12% of animals in shelters are purebreds. So, if you have your heart set on a certain breed, try checking with your shelter. BAHS currently has Persian and Siamese cats looking for a family.
2. We provide all necessary shots and spaying/neutering before the cat goes home with you. Spaying/neutering helps to end the tremendous pet overpopulation problem, is healthier for your cat, and saves you time and money.
1. Unconditional Love! Your new cat will love you regardless of all other outside factors. Where else can you find that kind of devotion?
All $10.10 adoptions will still need an approved adoption application and will still include the same great care for each cat including:
* Spay or neuter surgery
* Rabies vaccination
* Initial distemper vaccination
* Deworming treatment, flea treatment
* Feline Leukemia & Feline AIDS testing (felv/FIV/Heartworm)
* Microchip identification & Registration
* Free Health Examination (within ten business days of adoption courtesy of local veterinarians)
* 4 lb. bag of Science Diet food
