Awards Will Be Presented Tonight! (Tuesday, May 4, 2010)
(Madison, WI) – Adams Outdoor Advertising of Madison was named a finalist for one of the biggest prizes in advertising, an OBIE Award, by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA). The OBIE Awards recognize creative excellence in outdoor advertising and are the oldest awards program in the industry.
Adams Outdoor Advertising is the only outdoor advertising company competing against 41 national advertising agencies vying for the prestigious OBIE Best of Show. Competition this year was especially fierce, with over 1,000 executions being judged by an all star lineup of industry talent. Adams Outdoor Advertising is nominated for the Steve’s Wine Cork Board Campaign. The creative is a 3 dimensional spectacular outdoor design including nearly 50 3-foot tall constructed wine corks. The design can currently be seen in Madison on the Beltline just east of the Mineral Point Road intersection.
The design was created by the Adams Outdoor Advertising Creative Department with Tina Rataj as the lead designer. Ms. Rataj is a graduate of Edgewood College in Madison.
The Steve’s Cork Board is up against some industry heavyweights including agencies doing work for such brand names as Starbucks, Bank of America, Best Buy, GAP, The Home Depot, and HBO to name a few.

The 2010 OBIE Award winners will be announced tonight at a gala celebration on the last night of the TAB/OAAA Out of Home Media Conference & Marketing Expo, in Phoenix, AZ.
