White House: Locke, Montgomery, Sandalow to join Granholm, Doyle for Clean Energy Economy Forum in Saginaw Wednesday

WASHINGTON, D.C.—On Wednesday, September 2, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, Executive Director of the White House Council on Auto Communities and Workers Ed Montgomery, and Assistant Secretary of Energy for Policy and International Affairs David Sandalow will travel to Saginaw, Michigan, where they will join Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle in hosting a Clean Energy Economy Forum with a diverse group of local and regional stakeholders. Locke, Montgomery, and Sandalow will continue to lay out President Obama’s vision for a comprehensive energy plan to jump-start the American clean energy sector and create millions of new jobs developing technologies that will cut pollution while producing alternative sources of energy. The Administration officials and Governors will also listen to and answer questions from stakeholders about local and regional energy issues.

Following the forum, the administration officials and governors will hold a media availability in the Conference Room at the Dow Event Center.
