UWM: Agile product management topic of Sept. 25 UWM workshop

MILWAUKEE — “Agile Product Management” is the topic of a full-day workshop at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business Center for Technology Innovation on Friday, Sept. 25, from 8:30 a.m.– 4:15 p.m. in room N146, Lubar Hall, 3202 N. Maryland Ave.

In turbulent environments, change and complexity reign, resources shrink, but opportunities emerge. “How do you seize the moment?” Enterprises achieve competitiveness in the marketplace by creating value using a lean approach and by being responsive to change using an agile approach. This workshop explores what agility is all about and the roles, artifacts and ceremonies of the agile framework.

The presenter, Sinan Si Alhir, is a practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in aligning business and technology using industry-recognized “lean,” “agile,” and other “best practices.” Alhir is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Six Sigma is a business management strategy) and Scrum Master (Scrum is an agile process for software development).

Alhir also is the author of three books.

The cost for the workshop is $125. To register online, visit http://www.cti.sba.uwm.edu or for additional information, call the UWM Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at 414-229-3992.
