“Tinker with Music” Outdoor Summer Concert Series: Miles Nielsen
When: 6:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 30
What: Bring lawn chairs, picnic dinners and the whole family and enjoy the final concert in this six-part concert series presented outdoors on the beautiful grounds of Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens. Rockford native Miles Nielsen will perform a combination of pop, folk and Americana music in this finale concert. Soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase, and the Tinker Museum Gift Shop will remain open before, during and after the performance.

On The Waterfront Festival
When: 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, September 3; 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, September 4; 11:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday, September 5; 11: 30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, September 6
Cost: Festival Passes: $18 for a 3-day pass or $15 for a one day wristband; Charlie Daniels Band tickets: $10 for lawn tickets, $19.50 for reserved seats, $49.50 for Gold seats; Jason Aldean tickets: $29.50-$49.50; Barenaked Ladies tickets: $29.50-$49.50. A three-day festival pass gives access to general lawn seating for all Great Lawn Stage concerts, excluding Sept. 3.
What: On the Waterfront Festival is Illinois’ largest street festival, with over 75 performers in five music venues covering 25 city blocks in the heart of downtown Rockford. In addition to the festival kick-off concert featuring The Charlie Daniels Band on September 3, Rockford will welcome country music superstar Jason Aldean on September 4 and multi-platinum band Barenaked Ladies on September 5 to the Great Lawn Stage. The three-day festival also includes a carnival, more than 50 food booths, and local vendors.
