NEW NORTH, December 4, 2009 – Nearly 700 people have registered for the 2009 New North Summit, which will be held December 8th at the KI Center in Green Bay.

That total puts this year’s annual summit on pace to break the record turnout of over 800 from 2008.

“We’ve got a great program lined up for this year’s summit, and the outstanding response we’ve seen from attendees is proof of that,” said Jerry Murphy, Executive Director of the New North, Inc. “We’re looking forward to the 2009 Summit being an excellent event.”

The New North recently announced that Dr. David Ward, President and Founder of NorthStar Economics, and LeRoy Butler, former Green Bay Packer strong safety and entrepreneur, will serve as the keynote speakers.

The Summit will also feature a “Taste of Entrepreneurship” – an opportunity for attendees to sample some of the best culinary creations that New North businesses have to offer – and a social networking reception, as well as presentations about the progress the region has made over the past year.
