(March 5, 2009) – Independent marketing and communications agency Jacobson Rost has named Pat Goggin as Chief Strategy Officer in its new Chicago office following an industry-wide search. In this role, Goggin will be the key strategic link between the agency’s client service team and its creative product. He will also build alliances with new agency partners, incorporating new technologies and emerging media to maximize their impact on clients’ branding initiatives.

Goggin, 42, was most recently an executive vice president, director global growth at Leo Burnett Worldwide. Over his 17 year journey, Pat has managed many iconic brands including Coca-Cola, Chevrolet, Mercedes Benz, McDonald’s, Samsung, SAB Miller, and Procter & Gamble across the agency’s global markets including North America; Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and Asia-Pacific. While at Leo Burnett, Pat originated the HumanKind planning philosophy and worldwide company purpose that currently guides the agency’s on-going evolution from traditional to modern communications.
