The prestigious Society of Illustrators (SOC) has more than recognized Kent Steine’s book on the life and work of J.C. Leyendecker, a leading illustrator of the early 1900s. Leyendecker’s influential work shaped American Illustration. The SOC plans on acknowledging Kent for “keeping the JCL flame going” in their exhibit from 13 private and museum collections nationwide. Although written eleven years ago, Kent’s book is still highly recognized and critically acclaimed. Kent’s book, JC Leyendecker Collection; American Illustrators Poster Book, can be bought used online at Barnes & Noble for $95. Congratulations Kent!

Kent Steine, pinup artist, and author, is a native of Madison, Wisconsin.
