Madison Advertising Federation Announces Julie Redders as the Successor to Retiring Executive Director Lois Weiland

(Madison, WI – June 2008) The Madison Advertising Federation is pleased to announce that the quest is over! After a robust search for a successor to Lois Weiland, our retiring Executive Director of 21 years, Julie Redders has agreed to accept the job. “I am personally excited at Julie’s selection”, says Bill Kennedy, MAF (soon AAF-Madison) president (soon past president). “We had 26 applicants for the position and Julie’s current and former employers were effusive in their praise of her skills. She has big shoes to fill and I am confident with all of the board pulling together we can make this transition as smooth as possible.

Julie is an outstanding candidate who began with the club June 6th when she joined Lois in Atlanta for the National AAF conference. On Saturday, Julie and Lois attended the all-day executive directors meeting and on Sunday, they met with AAF hierarchy. It was very important to us that Julie have this opportunity to go to national. It will help further prepare her for the position.

Julie was most recently the vice president of operations at brava magazine and Erickson Publishing. She has a successful history with a variety of businesses in the Madison area in marketing, advertising and communications. Currently Julie serves on the board of directors of the National W Club, the organization of former UW letter winners that supports and promotes the legacy and tradition of athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and provides support to the UW Athletic Department. Julie is a former golfer at UW. She lives in Middleton with her husband, Jay and three children.
