For Immediate Release:

Psychologist Don Ferguson Ph.D., formerly with Dean Health System, opens the doors to Infinite Relationships, LLC on January 2, 2009 . This exciting program offers a menu of options for couples interested in improving their relationships or recovering from problems in it. Because no two people and certainly no two couples are alike, couples benefit from programs that fit their particular needs.

Infinite Relationships will offer evaluations, psychological testing, educational groups, weekend retreats and psychotherapy for individuals and couples. No other program offers this range of services for couples.

Infinite Relationships evolved from Dr. Ferguson’s 25 years in treating individuals, couples and groups and working with organizations. His work combines the latest research on stress and relationships, with the most up-to-date work on what actually helps. He is joined at Infinite Relationships in Verona by local experts who will provide educational programs and retreats in specific areas such as finances, anxiety, sexuality, and parenting issues. People can pick and choose what best fits their situation and needs. Dr. Ferguson believes that relationship therapy should target specific concerns and equip people to nurture their relationships on their own.

The individual programs will also be noteworthy as, in addition to Dr. Ferguson’s marital therapy programs, they will cover such issues as positive marital financial discussions, how anxiety conditions affect marriage (i.e. people with obsessive-compulsive disorder have a much higher divorce rate than average), recovering from sexual betrayals and mindfulness for couples. Weekend retreat topics include recovering from infidelity, finance and romance, the second time around, and preparing for commitment, among others.

Don Ferguson has been a teacher, trainer, and practitioner in the field of relationships and couples therapy for more than 20 years. He has presented hundreds of seminars and trainings to organizations and groups of psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychotherapists. He was a staff psychologist and administrator for psychiatry at Dean Health System, a major health care provider in Madison , Wisconsin . He wrote Reptiles in Love: Ending Destructive Fights and Evolving toward More Loving Relationships (2006, Jossey Bass), which is now translated into Spanish, German, and Serbian.

Dr. Ferguson is available for interviews regarding a wide range of relationship issues.
