Madison, Wis. – Dec. 3, 2008 – The Forward Community Investments Community Builder Award will be awarded to Jim Bradley, president of Home Savings Bank, on December 4 at the Goodman Community Center.

As this year’s recipient, Bradley is recognized for his visionary leadership and inspiring commitment at the local, regional and state levels. Not only is he a positive influence in the community, he also personally and professionally promotes a socially responsible thinking that is needed during challenging economic times.

Forward Community Investments presents the Community Builder Award each year to celebrate the ideas, drive and dedication that it takes to maintain a stronger Wisconsin. As a life-long resident of Wisconsin with a long-term commitment to social change, Bradley sets an example that hard work and vision can strengthen our communities.

Bradley’s influence is felt through initiatives in housing, community development and environmental sustainability. He is also active in the community’s “buy local” campaign.

Chris Abele, President and CEO of the Argosy Foundation, will deliver the event’s keynote address. Abele will speak to his path of inspired philanthropy as a long-time personal and professional philanthropist.

The Community Builder Award takes place at the Goodman Community Center on Madison’s east side. For more information, contact Mike Sweitzer-Beckman at 257-3863 or by e-mail at mikeb@forwardci.org.
