Didion Ethanol Announces New Hires

CAMBRIA – Work continues daily on the construction of Wisconsin’s newest state-of-the-art ethanol production facility in Cambria. In an effort to gear up for upcoming operation, Didion announced the addition of several key staff members.


 


“We’ve assembled a great team to run our facility,” said John Didion, CEO of Didion Ethanol. “We’re excited about the talent we’ve put together and we’re excited about the opportunity to begin producing bio fuel at Wisconsin’s newest plant.”


 


The following is a list of the new team members at Didion:


 


Dan Ketter, Environmental Manager – Along with his broad knowledge of federal, state and local environment regulations, Dan brings an extensive background in environmental management and engineering.  He comes from Springs Window Fashions, LLC in Middleton, where he worked as an Environmental Engineer since 1997. Dan has a BS in Biology, with an emphasis on environmental studies from UW-Whitewater.


 


Kathleen (Kathy) Cox, Grain Merchandiser – Most recently, Kathy worked as the Grain Division Manager at the Wisconsin River Coop in Adams. She brings 13 years of experience in the grain business. She previously worked the Didion grain elevator in McFarland.


 


Marcus Canty, Safety Department – Marcus is currently working as Safety Consultant for Didion and shares with the team his 9+ years of experience as a Safety and Compliance Director at Sta-Care, Inc. in Portage. Marcus earned his BA in Business Management from Lakeland College and his Associates Degree in Business Management from Madison Area Technical College. He has attended many OSHA and safety workshops and is well-versed in all areas of safety compliance.


 


Stephanie Maertz, Staff Accountant – With her recent BS in Finance from UW-Madison, Stephanie is eager to put her accounting skills and knowledge to work for Didion.  Stephanie will be focusing on grain accounting, working closely with Didion’s grain merchandisers. She comes from the corporate office of Prime Quarter Steakhouses where she held various accounting duties, as well as working as a Bank Teller while attending the University.  


 


Garret Beckett, Staff Accountant – Garret graduated from the UW-Whitewater this past December with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Garret is from the Madison area and started with our company last month. Prior to Didion, Garret worked for the University and for a Madison Area tax service.


 


Kyle Knoke, Ethanol Microbiologist, Lab Manager, Research & Development – Kyle is the newest employee to join the Didion Ethanol team. Kyle is a published graduate of UW-Parkside with a Masters of Applied Molecular Biology and Bachelors in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Molecular Biology. He is also currently an instructor at UW-Parkside in the Microbiology Lab.  He previously served as staff scientist with DuPont in Wilmington, Deleware for seven years.


 


These additions bring the total number of people employed at the ethanol facility to 28. Didion is a family-owned operation with more than 160 employees and four locations.
