Hexion Speciality Chemicals has told state and local officials that it will lay off 46 of its 134 employees at its Pleasant Prairie plant.
The company said the terminations are due to the “exiting of a product line and change in business” strategy.
The layoffs will occur on Oct. 14, officials said. About 28 of the workers, who are members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, have bumping rights.
