WHYTE HIRSCHBOECK DUDEK S.C. ANNOUNCES SIX NEW SHAREHOLDERS

MILWAUKEE – September 21, 2007 – Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. today announced the election of six new equity shareholders, five in the Milwaukee office and one in the Madison office. Jennifer Drury Buzecky, Daniel S. Galligan, Mark T. Garsombke, Thomas J. Pienkos and Steven F. Stanaszak achieved shareholder status in the Milwaukee office, and Lisa R. Lange became a shareholder in the Madison office.


 


Garsombke is Co-chair of the Technology and Telecommunications practice group and Chair of the HIPAA practice group. A leader in the field of information technology and privacy, he serves as corporate counsel to large and mid-sized organizations, innovative technology companies, health care entities, and employer health plans on complex technology transactions and privacy and security compliance. He graduated Cum Laude from Regent University School of Law.


 


Pienkos is a member of the Intellectual Property practice group and he has counseled a range of clients on the strategic protection, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He has prepared and prosecuted many U.S. and international patent applications and secured patent rights for a wide range of clients. He has supervised and conducted intellectual property due diligence investigations for corporate mergers, acquisitions and re-financing and drafted and negotiated patent license, non-disclosure and joint development agreements. Pienkos graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.


 


Galligan is a corporate lawyer who specializes in the legal issues surrounding businesses and their owners.  He has extensive experience in assisting clients with their day-to-day business and legal issues, and with buying and selling businesses. During his practice, he has represented many business entities in a wide array of legal matters, from employee and executive compensation to tax matters. He graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University Law School, and he earned an M.B.A. from Marquette University Graduate School of Business.


 


Stanaszak, who also graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University Law School, focuses his practice in the areas of transportation litigation, product liability, toxic tort, injury defense and employment litigation. He has represented clients in civil litigation in a wide variety of contexts including product liability, professional negligence, trucking, construction litigation, toxic tort and employment matters.


 


Buzecky works primarily on environmental and energy law issues, with an emphasis in air permitting, remediation, enforcement defense and transactional risk assessment. Prior to joining WHD, she worked as an air permit reviewer at U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago. She graduated from the University of Loyola-Chicago Law School.


 


Lange focuses her practice in the areas of commercial and public finance, and securities law. She represents borrowers, lenders and underwriters in a variety of taxable and tax-exempt financings. In the securities area, Lange represents entities seeking capital through private placements and other small offerings and assists larger commercial clients with continuing securities reporting matters. She graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
