WHEDA Announces New Campaign to Promote African American Home Ownership

MADISON – Antonio Riley, the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), will award WHEDA’s top performing housing lenders and announce a new advertising campaign during a luncheon on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn West in Madison.

WHEDA is beginning a new ad campaign in select, targeted cities to help complete 100 housing loans to African Americans by June 30, 2007.  Traditionally, Wisconsin’s urban centers with diverse populations have had lower rates of home ownership.

UW Credit Union and Anchor Bank will also be honored at the event as the top WHEDA lenders in Wisconsin.

Riley will begin the presentation at 12:00 p.m., and will unveil the advertising campaign at 12:30 p.m.  The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m.
