The U.S. State Department (DOS) is now accepting applications for the 2009 Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery and will continue to do so until noon (Eastern Standard Time) on December 2, 2007. The DV Lottery, otherwise known as the “green card lottery,” is in many circumstances a much more economical alternative to sponsoring a foreign worker for his or her green card.
