MADISON – The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) will hold public hearings on
Tuesday, November 27 in Madison, Green Bay and Wausau on Wisconsin Public Service
Corporation’s (WPSC) request to adjust its electric rates by 3.6 percent.
In December 2006, the Commission set 2007-2008 electric and natural gas rates for WPSC
customers. The utility is now asking for an electric rate increase as an adjustment to recover
costs for a projected rise in fuel prices, essential for its ability to produce electricity.
Public comments on WPSC’s application will be included in the record the Commission will
review to make a decision. The Commission has the authority to approve, deny or modify the
application. Citizens are encouraged to attend the hearings, which will be broadcasted
simultaneously by videoconference from three different locations at the following times:

If you cannot attend the public hearings, but would like to provide comments, you can do so on
the PSC’s website at http://psc.wi.gov through November 27. Click on the Public Comments
button on the PSC’s homepage and click on the case title. The hearing locations are accessible to
