Organic Valley Farmers to Welcome University of New Hampshire Organic Dairy into Nation’s Leading Organic Farmers Cooperative

UNH Milk Will Make Organic Valley New England Pastures Milk
                  and Stonyfield Farm Yogurt & Smoothies

   WHAT:   Organic Valley, America’s oldest and largest organic farmers
           cooperative and one of the nation’s leading organic brands, will
          welcome the University of New Hampshire Organic Dairy Research
          Farm into its cooperative as a full voting member when the first
          milk truck pulls into  the dairy to pick up its first load of
          organic milk.

          The UNH Dairy serves as both an applied research center for
          integrated organic production and management and an education
          center for organic dairy farmers, farmers undergoing or
          considering transition to organic, and students of sustainable
          agriculture.

   WHY:   The first milk truck pick up marks the culmination of years of
          effort on the part of UNH and its partners to further organic
          education in the Northeast region and helps continue to build the
          Northeast regional organic dairy program forged by Organic Valley
          and Stonyfield Farm

   WHERE: The UNH Organic Dairy Research Farm is located on the
          UNH Burley-Demeritt Farm approximately 6 miles from the
          Durham campus.

  From Boston:


Take Interstate Route 95 North to NH. Take Exit 4 (NH Lakes and Mountains, Spaulding Turnpike). Continue North to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 West.


Exit at Route 155A and turn east toward Durham. After a half-mile, turn right onto Mast Road/Route 155A, toward Lee. Follow Mast Rd. for 3.9 miles. Turn Left onto Lee Hook Rd. Take Route 101 West to Epping; Exit at Route 125 and turn left to travel Route 125 North to the Lee Traffic Circle. Drive east on Route 4 to the Route 155A exit. Follow directions as listed above.
