MyWeather Solves the Traffic Puzzle

GreenLight, as well as its sister products, are built on MyWeather’s exclusive RouteCast(R) technology which is a traffic and weather data platform that seamlessly powers a complete set of traffic solutions for on-air, online, mobile, desktop, print, and digital channels. A client may purchase a single or multiple solutions that will reach their audience across media as their information needs dictate during the day.

According to The Harris Poll (R) #16, February 22, 2007, 76% of Americans say that traffic in their community is a serious or moderate problem. This new product is an important step in addressing the need for accurate, integrated, and comprehensive traffic information across platforms — something that the majority of the population desires.

MyWeather’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships Chris Kelly explains, “The unique value of GreenLight is its use as more than an online traffic reporting tool. GreenLight provides a clean, intuitive interface that combines the best locally available data in a market. Unlike any other product, it uses proprietary algorithms to accurately show traffic based on construction, incidents, flow, and proprietary MyWeather MicroCast(R) weather data.” In short, the output yields the best locally available data for any metro area, and is available online, on-air, and for mobile devices.

Chris further explains, “Most traffic solutions today are only offered in the top 50 U.S. markets; however, we know that mid-size cities often have a need for local traffic information, and an online solution is particularly important for local businesses and residents. While GreenLight is an enterprise-level traffic solution for the largest and most demanding markets, it is universally adaptable to provide a comprehensive traffic solution even in Tier II and Tier III markets across the U.S. and Canada.”

The television, radio, and print industry are showing exceptional interest in GreenLight, and deployment will begin in April of 2007. MyWeather will also be showcasing the RouteCast product suite at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas April 14th – April 19th, 2007, in booth number C5334.
