LITTLE CHUTE, Wis., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ — LoanSifter ( is pleased to announce the appointment of Claudio Aranguiz as Director of Financial Information. This newly formed role is in direct support of the company’s product expansion with its new LoanSifter Prime & Alt-A search engine, the first search engine that allows brokers and correspondents to evaluate every lender they use. The product is currently in Beta release and is expected to be launched commercially in fall 2007.

“LoanSifter has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality products that help originators become better informed and more competitive,” Aranguiz said. “I look forward to working with LoanSifter’s talented team to further the needs of our clients and advance our business strategies. Proactive business and product development is essential, especially in the face of rampant change and consolidation in the lending industry.”

Prior to joining LoanSifter, Aranguiz built his banking and mortgage knowledge base in varying financial environments and assignments. His tenure at Bank of Montreal (BOM) as both personal loans manager and financial services manager provided a foundation in mortgage, loans and securities. As part of his MBA program, Aranguiz and two partners formed a Canadian start-up to help consumers find competitive mortgage/loan rates; Aranguiz relinquished his interests prior to immigrating to the US in 2000. He continued with USA Funding, a multi-location mortgage banking firm, building databases and spreadsheets to increase company profitability. In 2004, Aranguiz co-founded a product and pricing search company that helped brokers locate Prime and Alt-A programs.

“Claudio brings a unique combination of business and technology expertise across all segments of the lending industry that will assist us in continuing to grow our ability to serve clients with strategic product expansion throughout the US,” said Bruce Backer, president of LoanSifter.
