Journal Sentinel Names New Senior Vice President

MILWAUKEE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sharon Prill was named the new Senior Vice President / Interactive Media & Audience Development for Journal Sentinel Inc.


In her new role, Prill will lead an expanded Journal Interactive team of news producers, technologists, and Interactive sales and sales management team to rapidly grow revenues from an existing suite of websites, and to develop and launch new sites that meet the company’s strategic growth priorities.


Under Prill’s leadership, 25 CommunityNOW websites and the MilwaukeeMarketplace.com site were developed and launched; new functionality of the existing Journal Interactive sites was established and upgraded; and MilwaukeeMoms.com was purchased. The company also set new records for Interactive performance, with record revenue and margin growth rates in 2006. On the print side, Prill’s Marketing and Research teams provided sophisticated new data for sales and strategic efforts, and launched the Whats Your Story? image campaign the company’s first effort at branding the newspaper through area media in several years.


Prior to joining the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as Vice President of Interactive Media & Marketing in November 2005, Prill served as the Interactive Media Director at The News Tribune in Tacoma, WA. Prior to that she held several management and leadership positions at The Seattle Times. Prill was named one of Presstime Magazines 20 under 40 in 2006.
