Godfrey & Kahn Shareholder Timothy Nixon Re-Elected to Board of the State Bar’s Bankruptcy Section

Milwaukee, Wisconsin (May 24, 2007).  The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce the re-election of Timothy F. Nixon to the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Section. The section’s goal is to inform its members about developments in bankruptcy and collection law and to serve the judiciary and the public. Nixon has been a board member since 2003.


As team leader of Godfrey & Kahn’s Business Finance and Restructuring Practice Group, Nixon represents clients in state and federal courts in all aspects of bankruptcy including debtors, secured creditors, creditor committees, asset purchasers, receivers and trustees.  His clients include retail, manufacturing and construction companies, food processors, banks, financial institutions and other manufacturing and service business. 


Nixon has served as President of the Western District Bankruptcy Bar Association. In addition to holding various memberships within national, state and regional associations, he frequently speaks about his involvement in municipal government.


Nixon received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in public and environmental administration from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
