Fifteen Years in the Making: A New Form I-9

On Wednesday, November 7, 2007, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the issuance of a revised version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. The issuance of the revised Form I-9 is the first substantive revisions made to such form in more than fifteen years. WHD will be hosting a Breakfast Seminar on December 5, 2007, which will focus on the changes made to Form I-9 and how such changes impact an employer’s I-9 procedures, as well as the common mistakes employers make when completing Form I-9 which expose employers to liability for penalties under the federal immigration laws. Additional information regarding this upcoming Breakfast Seminar will be sent out in the next couple of weeks. Click on the link below to view this Special Report.
