MILWAUKEE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The inaugural Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Data Driven Innovation Award was awarded to DSG, Inc. on September 16 in Chicago.
In its first year, the Data Driven Innovation Award recognizes and honors excellence in the advancement of clinical data management and celebrates innovation in vendor/sponsor relationships. Four judges selected from the SCDM Leadership Forum unanimously agreed to honor the partnership between DSG, Inc. and Sirion Therapeutics utilizing the eCaseLink/eSource EDC product.

Sirion Therapeutics, an ophthalmic biopharmaceutical company, faced the challenge of running an EDC clinical trial with a complex randomization scheme in a cost-effective manner. DSG worked very closely with Sirion to customize eCaseLink, eliminating the need for a separate IVRS vendor. This collaboration resulted in the eCaseLink tool being the single point of service for the trial.
Four finalists competed for the inaugural award, as part of the 2007 SCDM Fall Conference. The runner-up award recognized the partnership between Nextrials, Inc. and Z-Tech, Inc., which utilized the Nextrials Prism tool for the Z-Tech Breast Scan Clinical Trial.
