Douglas H. Frazer Named 2007 Burton Award Winner

MILWAUKEE, WI (May 17, 2007)—Metro Milwaukee DeWitt Ross & Stevens tax partner, Douglas H. Frazer was named a 2007 Burton Award Winner. The Burton Award for Legal Achievement honors effective legal writing by law firm partners and law students who write in a clear and understandable prose.  Frazer was among the 30 individuals selected by the awards committee from hundreds of applications submitted by the largest 1,000 law firms in the nation.


 


Frazer was chosen for his article “Absurdist Humor and the Form-Substance Dialectic in Tax Law.The article appeared in the August 21, 2006 edition of Tax Notes.


 


Frazer and the other recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC on June 4, 2007. The guest speaker at the event will be Bob Schieffer, CBS News’ chief Washington correspondent. The Master of Ceremonies will be Bill Press, formerly of CNN’s Crossfire.
