Discover Mediaworks Launches Online Services Division

With Over a Decade of IT Leadership, Madison’s Todd Maahs to Head up Team


Madison-based Discover Mediaworks, an industry leader in comprehensive video production services, has announced the addition of an online services division.  The new division will provide a critical service to new and existing clients and will be led by Todd Maahs, an industry expert in the IT field.


“As technology continues to evolve and cross conventional boundaries, Discover Mediaworks has always been on the leading edge in interactive technology and production,” said Mark Rose, president and chief executive officer of the company.  “Online services were a natural next step for Discover Mediaworks and one we believe will take our clients to the next level.”


Discover Mediaworks specializes in the optimal utilization of all electronic media with graphic and interactive components.  The new division expands these services and focuses on the deployment of video online, as well as web development and other web-based solutions.


“We have always been so much more than a production company and we partner with each of our clients to bring their story to life with a creative and effective message,” said Rose.  “The online services division is yet another way we can add value to our video production clients and we are thrilled to have another vehicle to accomplish their goals.”


Heading up the new division will be Online Services Manager Todd Maahs.  He has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry and has worked on a wide range of activities, from engineering networks to architecting online business solutions. 


Todd comes to Discover Mediaworks from Clotho Business Solutions, where he was the director of business development and was one of the managing shareholders. 


With the company since 2002, Todd acted as the product and channel manager of MediaLandscape Software, a division of Clotho Business Solutions.  MediaLandscape is now an independent software company specializing in developing multi-media presentation and distance education applications, tools and utilities.  In that position, he worked in collaboration with UW-Madison in deploying distance education applications and systems.


His past clients include MasterCraft Boat Company, Aprilaire (Research Products), Spectrum Brand (formerly Rayovac), and American Girl.


A native of Madison, Todd is also the co-founder of Lifted LLC, an urban renewal development company.  In 2007, Lifted completed and sold its first property.  He is a member of Design Madison, Downtown Madison Inc., Accelerate Madison, and the Greater Madison and Middleton Chamber of Commerce.


“Todd has worked at all levels in the industry and we believe with his experience and leadership, this division will immediately make an impact,” said Rose.  “His approach to business and his understanding of our philosophy here at Discover Mediaworks makes him a natural fit and we are proud to welcome him.”


Discover Mediaworks, with its corporate headquarters in Eagle River, Wisconsin, produces broadcast programming such as Discover Wisconsin Television and Radio, Into the Outdoors, American Snowmobiler, and ATV Illustrated.  They also produce a series of news reports for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.


In 2007, the company’s flagship series, Discover Wisconsin, celebrated 20 years.  Additionally, the firm produces corporate videos, interactive DVDs, commercials, documentaries and work on series development for television and radio.  Discover Mediaworks also produces programs that showcase Wisconsin tourism nationally on the Travel Channel.
