MILWAUKEE, May 22 /PRNewswire/ — Nigel Davies of Catalyst International, global provider of supply chain execution (SCE) software and solutions, has been elected Chairman of the Open Applications Group, Inc., (OAGi) for the third consecutive year, and will continue to be actively involved in the worldwide adoption of the OAGi standard.
OAGi, an open standards organization, formed in 1994, focuses on improving the state of application integration. Its unique, technology-neutral approach ensures that both end-users and solution providers have the most robust XML standard that can be deployed using ebXML, Web Services, or the framework of their choice. Along with Davies, representatives from Oracle, SAP and IBM serve on the OAGi board, while key members include Cisco, Lucent Technologies, Boeing, and Agilent Technologies. Global automotive manufacturers like General Motors and Ford are also active in specialized automotive groups, including Automotive Industry Action Group, (AIAG) and Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail, (STAR).
