Leading lip balm company delivers first tube and jar flavor extension in 70 years

FRANKLIN, Wis., June 28 /PRNewswire/ — Carma Laboratories, Inc., the maker of Carmex, announced today the introduction of their popular jar and tube lip balms in a cherry flavor variety for the first time in the company’s 70 year history.

New Carmex Cherry Jar and new Carmex Cherry Tube are the first flavored Carmex lip balms in their signature jar and tube packaging. The Original Carmex jar has been a popular lip balm item since its launch in the early 1930’s. The tube, a top item in the lip balm category, was introduced in 1988. Previously, the jar and tube were only available in the original Carmex flavor. In 2006, strawberry and cherry flavors were introduced in the stick form.

Carmex Cherry Jar and Carmex Cherry Tube contain SPF 15 to keep lips protected from the sun, and are sold in distinctive cherry-themed packaging. “Cherry is one of consumer’s most preferred flavors,” says Paul Woelbing, Carma Laboratories CEO, grandson of founder, owner, “and this gives consumers one of their favorite flavors combined with Carmex lip balm.”
